The Great Works began at 6:20 a.m. on the first day (Nov. 1) with an opening prayer at the Jeongshim Won prayer hall. The opening Jeongshim Won prayer was joined by thousands of members from all over the world who are marching toward Vision 2020. Training center Vice President Myong-kwan Lee, the MC for the opening prayer, introduced the new portraits in the prayer hall, explaining that Hyo-jin nim and Heung-jin nim, now in royal robes and official hats, are dressed appropriate as part of the royal family in the spirit world. They greeted all the members with a new look that had been completely refined. Early this year, at the direction of True Parents, these new portraits were completed by some of the second generation members in the Art Department for Cheonwon Gung and they were enshrined in Jeongshim Won on 10.1 by the heavenly calendar (Oct. 28), four days before the Great Works.
After a hoondok reading of True Parents’ words, FFWPU for a Heavenly Korea and HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center President Gi-seong Lee offered the opening prayer report to the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind, saying, “Please let us experience the works of Heavenly Parent and find true love and true life during this Great Works period. Please awaken all your children who are sincerely offering jeongseong to receive your authority and amazing heavenly works. Thinking of the wish of all Christians throughout the 2,000 years of Christian history, the ACLC pastors are making miracles through their revivals. May the Tree of All Things bring us the grace that will allow us to be masters of all things. May the joy of heaven that we have never felt before resonate with us through the ancestor blessing for generations 1-430, and may be resonate as well through our spiritual sense and physical five sensory organs with the joy of our ancestors who have been become liberated from Hell.”
After that, they sang praise with “Grace of the Holy Garden,” offered their prayers to Heavenly Parent and True Parents with a loud voice and shouted “Eog-mansei” three times, reporting the start of the Great Works to Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
