40-day Special Workshop for Blessed Wives



May the blessings and love of our Heavenly Parent and True Parents be with all mission nations.

The 262nd Hyojeong CheonBo 40-day Special Workshop and 164th Hyojeong CheonBo 40-day Special Workshop for Blessed Wives, which will be conducted under the grace of CheonBo Works under the direct dominion of True Parents and the works of the Holy Spirit, will be held as outlined below. We hope many members will be able to participate.

Please note that this official memo is intended for members living outside of Korea, Japan and Taiwan.



1. Schedule for the 262nd Hyojeong CheonBo 40-day Special Workshop and the 164th Hyojeong CheonBo 40-day Special Workshop for Blessed Wives
Time Period: December 2, 2023 (Saturday) – January 10, 2024 (Wednesday)

2. Participants:
A. Members who are 13 years of age and over who can follow the workshop schedule on their own (We are currently not accepting young children in our 40 day workshops.)

3. Workshop registration:
A. Recommended Reservation time: November 25 – December 8, 2023
B. Make an account on our website and preregister for the workshop (https://en.hjcbt.org)
C. Members can apply for a 14-day or a 21-day workshop anytime in between the 40-day schedule.
* Members can receive a 40-day certificate after they complete three 14-day workshops or two 21-day workshops.

4. Workshop Fee:
A. General 40-day Workshop, Blessed Wives 40-day Workshop: 700,000 won
1) 10% of the workshop fee will be discounted for families (Direct family, spouse, and siblings) who register for a 40-day workshop together: 630,000 won per person
B. 14-day Workshop for general members: 250,000won (There is no discount)
C. 21-day Workshop for general members: 350,000won (There is no discount)

5. Things to Prepare:
A. Hoondok Materials: Exposition of the Divine Principle (3 color version), True Mother’s memoir, ChamBumo Gyeong (you can purchase an abridged version of the ChamBumo Gyeong for 7,000 won and the English version of True Mother’s memoir for 10,000 won at the international office.)
B. Clothes and attire: white t-shirts (three or more), pants that don’t release dust (for chanyang sessions), comfortable shoes (for Holy Ground prayer, outdoor activities and dedication), Holy Robe and Blessing ring (for those who will participate in the Ancestor Blessing Ceremony), a set of dress clothes (for Cheon Jeong Gung pilgrimage, Sunday service, graduation ceremony, etc.) and some warm clothing
C. Personal belongings: FM radio, shoe bag, umbrella, toiletries, personal towel, personal medications, personal cup, medical insurance (see below for details)
D. Please download the Kakao messenger app on your phone before coming to Korea. We will be using this app during your workshop period to communicate and relay information.

6. Points to Consider:
A. Please try to arrive at the training center before 6 pm which is when the International Office closes, so that our staff can help you with registration. If you come late due to unavoidable reasons such as flight arrival time, then you will need to register in the morning at 9 am after the morning chanyang session.
B. Please preregister on our website before coming to Korea (Late admissions for the workshop can be accepted until 7 days after the start.)
C. Members who are psychologically or spiritually challenged must first consult with the training center staff (+82-31-589-7177). If permission is granted, he or she may register only if accompanied by a caregiver. Please keep in mind that if permission is not granted, or if a caregiver does not come, the member may be asked to return home (The HJ Magnolia International Medical Center psychiatric ward closed down some years ago. However, members can receive treatment as out-patients.).
D. Medical Insurance for Traveling Abroad (Traveler’s Insurance)
1) Even if you obtain a traveler’s insurance, you will be asked to pay the hospital fee first, and then be reimbursed later. Please prepare extra cash for emergency medical expenses.
2) Please check all details with the insurance company to ensure your insurance policy is valid in South Korea.
E. Members coming to Korea from abroad who are unable to receive a visa waiver must obtain a 90-day visa before coming to the workshop. The Training Center cannot acquire or extend visas on your behalf. If your visa expires while you are still in Korea, the immigration office will fine you and your name will be placed on a blacklist. If you need to obtain a visa please contact cpintl2013@gmail.com to request an invitation letter or for further assistance.
F. If you have suspected symptoms of COVID-19 (high fever, cold, etc.), you cannot apply for the workshop, and if you are infected with COVID-19 during the workshop, you will need to be quarantined.

8. Information concerning pregnant sisters who are attending 40-day workshops
Qualifications to be admitted as a pregnant sister: Pregnant sisters who are during their stable period (5 months after conception), and who can complete their workshop within the periods designated:
A. Members who live in Korea and are planning to give birth in Korea: Pregnant sisters who can complete their workshop 15 days before their due date (Please note that members are no longer able to give birth at the HJ Magnolia Hospital located near the training center.)
B. Members planning to give birth overseas: Pregnant sisters who complete their workshop before 31 weeks of pregnancy
You are allowed to board a flight until 31 weeks of pregnancy. You will need a medical certificate issued by a doctor if your pregnancy is between 32 and 37 weeks, and it will be impossible to board a plane after the 38 weeks of pregnancy. Please check with your travel agent or airline for precise information.

9. The 264th Hyojeong CheonBo 40-day Special Workshop and the 166th Hyojeong CheonBo 40-day Special Workshop for Blessed Wives will be held January 13 ~ February 21, 2024.
