Change in Cheongpyeong Providence and the Background of the Prayer-Wish Offering Ceremony for Restoration

Following True Parents’ words, the first ‘Special Prayer Festival for the Arrival and Inheritance of Heavenly Fortune’ began from March 30, 2004.  

 

True Parents instructed the world leaders on July 28, 2004, “You must write the Fulfillment of Wishes Papers worldwide and start doing the Prayer-Wish Festival and the Purification Festival”. On the 46th True Parents’ Day (April 9, 2005), True Parents changed the names ‘Prayer-Wish Festival’ and ‘Purification Festival’ to ‘Prayer-Wish Ceremony for Restoration’ and ‘Prayer-Wish Purification Ceremony for Restoration’, respectively. After that, the Prayer-Wish Purification Ceremony for Restoration was held every year during the ‘Purification Azalea Festival for the Inheritance of Heavenly Fortune’.  

 

As you can see, Cheongpyeong Providence has been continuously developing through True Parents’ sincere devotion and victory. 


After going through the 1st level, the formation stage (1971-1995), and the 2nd level, the growth stage (1995-2014), Cheongpyeong Providence now has entered the completion stage, the era in which True Parents directly preside over the spirit world and physical world.  


Following this change in the province, True Parents changed the ‘Prayer-Wish Purification Ceremony for Restoration’ to the ‘Prayer-Wish Offering Ceremony for Restoration’ on May 7, 2016.  

The background of the Prayer-Wish Offering Ceremony for Restoration, which will be conducted according to the words of True Parents, is as below:  

 

1. Changes associated with the development of the providence 

 

The Prayer-Wish Purification Ceremony for Restoration was a ceremony where the Fulfillment of Wishes Papers were placed and burnt in a burning chamber. This was conducted in the growth stage of Cheongpyeong Providence from January 19, 1995 to October 27, 2014.  

 

However, on the victorious foundation of True Father’s 3rd Anniversary of Cosmic Seonghwa, and in alignment with the age of Cheongpyeong Providence in which True Parents directly preside over the spirit world and physical world, we can still receive the benefit through the ceremony of lighting the holy candles which sets the condition we have burnt the wish papers, without lighting the fire in the burning chamber anymore.  

 

True Parents said, even though this external ceremony has changed, the practical value of the Prayer-Wish Offering Ceremony for Restoration is linked to the previous Holy Burning Ceremony and still carries the same grace.  

 

2. Grace of “Prayer-Wish Offering Ceremony for Restoration”

According to True Parents’ words, the ‘Prayer-Wish Purification Ceremony for Restoration’ has been changed to its new name, the ‘Prayer-Wish Offering Ceremony for Restoration’. The ‘Prayer-Wish Officering Ceremony for Restoration’ will be continued every year in May, together with the Purification Azalea Festival Special Great Works.
