Recommendation of Winners for the “2012 Worldwide Members’ Witnessing Competition

Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim, having Foundation Day ahead, said that “All members throughout the world in this year should also strive to fulfill the duties of loyalty and filial piety to the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, by fully devoting their utmost efforts in witnessing in this year.”

As following this, the Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center would like to hold the awarding ceremony for the “2012 Worldwide Members’ Witnessing Competition in Commemoration of the 18th Anniversary of Cheongpyeong Works” separately for individuals and for churches, during the “Special Great Works to Commemorate the 18th Anniversary of Cheongpyeong Works (January 18 - 20, 2013)”, so we would like to ask you to recommend winners who meet the following standard.

1.  Title: Recommendation of Winners for the 2012 Worldwide Members’ Witnessing Competition in Commemoration of the 18th Anniversary of Cheongpyeong Works

2.  Deadline of Recommendations: Report by December 23, 2012

3.  Eligible Participants: All members and churches from around the world

4.  Standard for the Selection of Winners and Awarding of Prizes: Awards will be presented to those members who witnessed and brought in the most members, or whose churches witnessed and brought in most members, and these award-winners will be selected based on the Korean Headquarters' official memo of January 10, 2009 (“the standard of members listed on the church register”) or the standard set for witnessing in each country’s headquarters.

1) The Standard of Korean Headquarters (Refer to the content of the official memo)

a) Submission of membership form (a membership fee of 12,000won must be paid)

b) Participation in a 2-night and 3-day workshop

c)  It is recommended that the individual attend Sunday service at least twice each month.

d) It is recommended that the individual offer a donation at least once each month.

2) The Standard of the Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center:

a) A newly-witnessed member (newly-joined member) should be one who has accomplished the liberation of the first 7 generations (Father Side 1-7 generations) of their ancestors.

      - A newly-witnessed member can liberate his or her ancestors by sending the application form and the donation to Cheongpyeong.

  b) Members who successfully witnessed to more than 12 people, in accordance with the standard above. However, the criterion of the ancestor liberation should have been accomplished by more than 50% of the new members (i.e. at least 6 people out of 12 should have fulfilled the ancestor liberation.).

3)  Each continental headquarters will select the winning individuals, and churches, who have taken part in the competition, and must submit their list to the Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center no later than December 23, 2012.

After all lists have been submitted, the Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center will make the final decision concerning the candidates.

a)  Each continent should select no more than 3 churches and then submit their list to the Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center.

b)  The Standard for the selection of churches can be decided upon in accordance with the witnessing policy of that continental headquarters.

5. Criteria for awarding prizes:

1) Awards will be given separately, for individuals and for churches, and will include a plaque as well as prize money.         

2) Awards for churches will be presented by nation (Korea, Japan) and by continent.

3) Individual awards will be presented to all those members who meet the witnessing standards mentioned above.
