Recruiting Staff for the 2011 Cheongpyeong 40-day Workshop for International 2nd Generation (The 155th Cheongpyeong 40-day Workshop)

 

The 2011 Cheongpyeong 40-day Workshop for International 2nd Generation will be held from July 6 to August 14, 2011. We ask of your assistance for this Workshop..

 

 

1. Staff & Team Leader Workshop Period

                June 26 (Sun) – July 5 (Tue), 2011

 

*Please arrive in Cheongpyeong by 5 pm on June 26 (Sun).

 

*Staff will be briefed about the workshop and its direction, as well as getting prepared for the workshop.

 

2. Staff (General Staff & Parental Figure Staff)

 

A. General Staff:

 

1) Age: University or Graduate School Students (2nd Gen. preferred)

 

2) Experience:  Those who have participated in a Cheongpyeong 40-day Workshop

 

3) Areas of recruitment: 4 people

 

    Workshop Leader: 1 person (or a couple)

 

    Music, Art: 1 person

 

    Martial Arts: 1 person

 

    Medical Care, Hygiene: 1 person

 

4) Expected Roles as General Staff

 

*Prepare for the 40-day workshop beforehand by participating in the Staff & Team Leader Workshop held from June 26th (Sun) – July 5th (Tue).

 

*As staff, one must be able to not only understand the direction and policy of the Training Center, but also be able to mediate it to the trainees.

 

*Assist in running the workshop.

 

*Guide club activities

 

*Report trainees’ situation to leaders.

 

         *Participation in staff meetings

 

         *Administrative duties

 

         *Other things requested by the Training Center (Cheongpyeong Staff)

 

 

B. Parental Figure Staff

 

1) Experience: Participated in a Cheongpyeong 40-day Workshop and had some experience in taking care of 2nd Generations.

 

2) Expected Roles as Parental Figure Staff:

 

*Prepare for the 40-day workshop beforehand by participating in the Staff & Team Leader Workshop held from June 26th (Sun) – July 5th (Tue).

 

  - It is recommended to attend, but it is not mandatory

 

*As staff, one must be able to not only understand the direction and policy of the Training Center, but also be able to mediate it to the trainees.

 

*Assist in running the workshop.

 

*Participation in staff meetings

 

*Trainees’ health care and emotional care

 

*Other things requested by the Training Center (Cheongpyeong Staff)

 

3. Team Leader

 

1) Age: High school graduates and over (2nd Gen. preferred)

 

2) Experience:  Those who have participated in a Cheongpyeong 40-day Workshop

 

3) Number of recruitment: 15 people

 

    Team Leaders for brothers: 7~8 people

 

    Team Leaders for sisters: 7~8 people

 

4) Expected Roles as Team Leader

 

*Prepare for the 40-day workshop beforehand by participating in the Staff & Team Leader Workshop held from June 26th (Sun) – July 5th (Tue).

 

*As staff, one must be able to not only understand the direction and policy of the Training Center, but also be able to mediate it to the trainees.

 

*Being in a different country and culture, staff must be able to help the trainees adjust to the workshop by encouraging them in many ways.

 

*Assist in running the workshop.

 

*Report trainees’ situation to leaders.

 

         *Participation in staff meetings

 

         *Other things requested by the Training Center (Cheongpyeong Staff)

3) Staying fee as staff will be covered by the training center.

 

4) If you are here for 40 days you will also receive a 40-day Workshop completion certificate.

 

6. Traveler’s Insurance

 

Members coming to Korea from abroad must be sure to purchase traveler’s insurance. Before you make insurance, please consult with the Insurance Company to ensure that it can be used in South Korea.

7. Members coming to Korea from abroad must obtain a 90-day visa, before coming to the workshop. The Training Center cannot acquire or extend visas for you. If your visa expires while you are in Korea, the immigration office will charge you a penalty of $100.US per day and you will be placed on a black list.
