The workshop schedule for May 2006 is as below. Ancestor Liberation Ceremonies for generations 1-126 and Ancestor Blessing Ceremonies for generations 1-119 will begin from May 2006 and be held for the 5-month period until September 2006. Members living in Korea or Japan can liberate generations 120-126 during any of the Liberation Ceremonies held during this time period. These members can liberate any of the missing groups during the Additional Ancestor Liberation Ceremony.

Members living in all other countries can liberate all possible sets of ancestors at any of the 2-day workshops held throughout the year. Please make a 21-day condition of devotion (breakfast fast or 50 bows) before coming to participate in the ancestor liberation ceremony.

From May 3 to 7, the 'Purification Azalea Festival' is scheduled, therefore, we hope that many members can participate at the workshop.

21-Day

34th: April 15th (Sat, 7 p.m.) - May 5th (Fri, 11 p.m.)

8-Day

18th: April 30th (Sunday) 6 p.m. - May 7th (Sunday) 10:30 p.m.

2-Day

771st: 5/3 (Wed) - 4 (Thurs) [Purification Azalea Festival (5/3-7)]

772nd: 5/6 (Sat) - 7 (Sun)  [Purification Azalea Festival (5/3-7)], Special Ancestor Blessing Ceremony

(Additional Ancestor Liberation Ceremony for members living in Korea and Japan)

773rd: 5/13 (Sat) - 14 (Sun)

774th: 5/20 (Sat) - 21 (Sun) [Special Ancestor Blessing Ceremony (1-119)]

Note

The 44th Day of All True Things will be on 5/27. Therefore, there will be no Workshop held on 5/27 (Sat) - 28 (Sun)

* To liberate any Second or Third Generation who have passed away, whether blessed or unblessed, please prepare the liberation donation in accordance with the collateral liberation standard.

* Members living in all other countries other than Korea and Japan can liberate all possible groups of ancestors at any of the 2-day workshops held throughout the year. However, the 25,000 won registration fee is required for each 7-generation group of ancestors. With respect to the registration fee, the father′s and mother′s sides together form one group, and the 2 grandmothers′ sides (grandmother on father′s side, grandmother on mother′s side) form another group.

*Members living in Japan and Korea ONLY*

Those members who have not finished Generations up until 119, can liberate your father's side, 7 generation group of ancestors,  per a  2-day workshop. Only on Additional Ancestor Liberation Ceremony, can a member living in either Japan or Korea can  liberate many sets of ancestors. (you can liberate your mother's side up until where your father's side.)

2. Ancestor Blessing Ceremony (Generations 1 -119) Schedule Information

The Ancestor Blessing Ceremony held in May will be a Special Ancestor Blessing Ceremony. Please Follow the link to obtain more Information.

     3.  Photograph Taking of Members Who Have Offered the Full Original Palace Construction Donation

Members who have made the full donation for the construction of the Original Palace can receive the grace of taking a picture together with Dae Mo Nim. Those who would like to take this photo should prepare dress clothes and attend a 2-day workshop with their families.

*Application Method  – Fill out application form at the time of registration on Saturday. (Registration Office on the second level basement)

*Eligible Applicants  – Families that made the full Original Palace Construction Donation

*Time of Photo Taking – Sunday, around 12 noon. Limited to members who have applied (time undecided)

*To Receive Commemorative Gift – Shipping service also available if cost of sending by air mail is provided. Please fill out shipping request form and pay the shipping fee when applying to take the photo.
