2011 Cheongpyeong 40-day Special Workshop for International Blessed Children
(The 155th Cheongpyeong 40-day Workshop)

 

1. Schedule for the Cheongpyeong Workshops for International Blessed Children:

Blessed children(and Seong Hwa Students) in junior high school, 12~15 years of age or in grades 6-9, Those high school children that cannot attend full 40-day workshop, who understand English **

40-day for University Students

July 1 (Fri) - August 9 (Tue), 2011

Blessed Children (Seong Hwa Students) in University and College, Age: Age equivalent to university and college

* Seong Hwa Students (Blessed Children and Jacob’s Children) refers to the students of our church who are attending high school or junior high school.

** It is strongly recommended that those Seong Hwa Students in junior high school participate in the 21-day workshop, but if the child strongly wishes to attend the 40-day workshop, please contact international office or the USA Headquarters’ Education Department Office(If you are from USA) beforehand.

*** If a Seong Hwa Studnet (in junior high school or high school) completes two 21-day workshops (one this time and one before, or one this time and one at a later time), they can receive a 40-day workshop certificate at the end of their second 21-day workshop.

 

 

2. Hoondok Materials: 3-colored Exposition of the Divine Principle, Pyeong Hwa Hoon Gyeong, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen.

 

3. Materials to Prepare

 

    1) Holy Song book

     

    2) Toiletries, underwear, and socks

     

    3) White t-shirts (at least 7), thin pants that will not generate dust during Chanyang Yeoksa sessions (holy song sessions)

     

    4) Comfortable shoes and a shoe bag

     

    5) A set of dress clothes for special occasions (for example, Ahn Shi Il)

     

    6) FM radio

     

    7) Umbrella or raingear

     

    8) One photo (3x4 cm) (for those who did not attach a photo to their registration form)

     

    9) Holy robes and blessing ring for those who will participate in the ancestor blessing ceremony

     

    10) Personal medication/s, traveler’s insurance, etc.

     

    ※Trainees will wear white t-shirts throughout the entire workshop.

     

    ※For more information, please refer to the Honor Code.

 

4. Workshop Registration Form Arrival: End of June, 2011

 

    1) The registration form should be sent to the International Office before end of June, 2011, after reading the Honor Code.

     

    2) For those participants from USA, your registration form should be submitted to the USA Headquarters (Education Department Office) before the end of June, 2011.

5. Workshop Fee: 40-day: 800,000 won (exchange rate will differ daily)

                                 21-day: 420,000 won (exchange rate will differ daily)

 

    1) The workshop fee should be brought by your child, and turned in at the time of registration in Cheongpyeong. If you think it will be a problem for your child to bring the workshop fee, please contact us at +82-31-589-7079, 7179.

     

    2) We accept checks, cash, and travelers checks.

     

    Checks should be made out to HSA-UWC CSC and $8 needs to be added for a processing fee. If the check is over $1000 (workshop fee for 2 people), a $10 fee needs to be added. Travelers checks are the same as cash.

 

6. Important points to keep in mind:

 

    1) Members must start the 40-day (21-day) Workshop within 7 days from the official workshop starting date. If they arrive late they must extend their participation in the workshop by the number of days they are late.

     

    2) You may arrive 1 or 2 days early, but must stay until July 26 to complete the 1st 21-day workshop and until August 14 to complete the 40-day workshop or 2nd 21-day workshop.

     

    3) It is recommended that 40-day workshop participants leave the following day (Aug 15) at the earliest.

     

    4) Members who are psychologically or spiritually or behaviorally challenged must first consult with Rev. Kim Dong Bae(82-31-589-7188). If permission is granted, he or she may register only if accompanied by a caregiver. (Please keep in mind that if permission is not granted, or if a caregiver does not come, such an individual may be asked to return home.)

     

    5) Even though you complete the workshop, if your attitude during participation does not meet the workshop standards, you may not be able to receive the graduation certificate. In this case, you can receive the certificate after participating satisfactorily in any other 40-day or 21-day workshop.

     

    6) If you do not follow the workshop standards habitually and consistently, you may be asked to return home.    

     

    7) International blessed children, living outside of Korea and Japan, age 16 and above can participate in the liberation ceremony and blessing ceremony for their parents’ ancestors.

     

    8) As of the 71st workshop, 40-day workshop participants who register for the ancestor liberation ceremony are also required to pay the 2-day workshop registration fee of 25,000 won per group of seven generations. (However, the registration fee for the ancestor blessing ceremony is 25,000 won regardless of the number of generations.)

     

    9) Members coming to Korea from abroad must usually obtain a 90-day visa, before coming to the workshop. (Members in the USA and most of Europe do not need VISA). The Training Center cannot acquire or extend visas for you. If your visa expires while you are in Korea, the immigration office will charge you a penalty of $100 US per month and your name can be placed on a “black” list.

     

    10) Members coming to Korea from abroad must be sure to purchase traveler’s insurance. Before you obtain any insurance, please consult with the Insurance Company to ensure that it can be used in South Korea.
